Blog Post of the Day:
What do you know about photography and/or photo editing? Do you take photos? How do you take photos? Do you edit photos before posting them on social media? How do you edit them? Explain any background or knowledge you have about photography and photo editing. Do you like it? Do you have any interest?

When I think of editing photos, I mainly think of the editing magazines do where they make people look skinnier or prettier.  Or another way people edit photos they can enhance the picture so it looks brighter.  Also people can put filters on so it can change the photo to black and white and stuff like that.  I mainly don't edit my photos, when i post them on instagram or twitter.  I don't like editing my photos.

Tell me about your weekend. Share pics!

On Friday night I was planning on going to part of the football game but instead went my cross country sleepover.  When I was there I ate so much food. There was cookies, trail mix, Pirate's Booty, Spooey (pretzels dipped in icing) , and many more fattening foods.  I fell asleep watching The Amazing Spider-Man 2, then woke up remembering I still had practice that day.  So I went on my run.  I went home after that and it felt like I slept forever. On Sunday, I had a soccer game and I scored a goal!!!  We ended up tying the game at 2-2, but I still enjoyed scoring.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

I disagree with this letter addressing the article, 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect.' Although, reading this made me think twice about Riley Miller's accusations that the teachers and administrators were at fault for not letting students wear what they want.  Teachers and administers want us to look professional and hold us up to high standard.  But, that's what they want, not us, the students.

Some of the classes we take in school are useless.  When in life am I going to need to know how to find the orthocenter of a triangle.  Its skills like that that annoy me  because you only will need to know that for a few jobs.  If I'm not interested in a job where I'll need that skill, then this is just wasted time.  They should have classes that teach survival skills if you're ever put in a bad situation.  Another possible class teaches sign language. With the survival class you can take field trips, and  learn first aid.  And for sign language you can learn with actual people that rely on it.

The following article was in the September issue of The Tiger Print. Read the article (even if you already have) and respond to it below. What do you think? Do you agree? Disagree? Consider all perspectives of the article while you respond.

I definitely agree with Riley Miller's article.  Why should girls be punished for wearing what they want as long as it totally doesn't cross the line.  She writes that she was "unfortunately blessed with extremely long, lank limbs."  I have the exact same issue why should I have to wear longer shorts if someone the exact same size as me just with shorter legs gets to wear short-shorts.  Also, I think boys don't really care how short our shorts are, its just more for them to see (wow my thigh, that's intriguing).  Teachers and administrators shouldn't enforce this thumb-rule, because I'm sure when they were in high school they wore what everybody else was wearing, what was in at the time.  Girls are just wearing these shorts because that's whats in right now.  Give it a few years it might go away, but for the time being we shouldn't be punished.

Tell me about your weekend! If you don't have anything fun to share, tell me about the city you live in. What do you love about Kansas City? Do you have a favorite place in the city? Favorite team? :) Favorite event? Explain.

I didn't have a very eventful weekend in Leawood, KS.  Here in JoCo there aren't a lot of things going on, it's a little boring.  I guess it's a good place to grow up in, but nothing important ever happens.  At least we have a football, baseball, and soccer team.  This year the Royals are doing a really good job and they made it to the playoffs.  Yesterday they beat the Los Angeles in game three of five games. So now they're moving from the ALDS to the ADCS!

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!

On Saturday morning I woke up at 4:45 and got ready for my cross country meet.  Once I got to the school at 5:45, boys and girls JV and Varsity headed to Rim Rock in Lawrence.  I didn't run till 12:30 so I mostly just cheered my team on and sat in our tent.  During my race, I got a PR which means I got a personal record.  On the way home I slept the whole time.  After that I was rushing every where!  I had my hair and makeup done at Beauty Brands and I got my dress from Urban Outfitters.  I went to Bravo for dinner with my very annoying date and some friends. Then I was off to the dance.
